The first learning session in the SOUL Equity series, this one will be led by Sundaura Alford-Purvis, landscape designer and executive director at the Society for Organic Urban Land Care

This learning session will be an introductory presentation to provide the background and context for the series and an overview of the topics we’ll be exploring over the next few months. We’ll also explore how, as gardeners, horticulturalists, designers and landscapers, we can take real, day-to-day, grass-roots actions that will help undermine inequities and cultivate stronger, more inclusive and more vibrant urban communities.

Our gifts are also our responsibility. We have the most influence and capacity to enact change in our personal sphere of work and expertise.

The related discussion session will be at the same time, two weeks after Sundaura's presentation.
